Tv drama

1.
I cant tell a lot about this Character (Janice) from Corination Street, from this picture.

My first impressions of this Character are that she seems quite chavy, I can tell this by all the gold jewellery i.e. big hoop earings and Various necklsses. Her clothes (jumper) looks quite cheap, if she was wearing a shirt of a smart top then i would think that she was important/business person. Her hair is short with blone highlights and a slight tinge or brown in, this doesnt look too attractive or smart, so i would ashume that she's not really girly and doesn't make to much effort with her looks. She isn't wearing loads of makup, if she was I would have thought that she was insecure, so I think she maybe quite Goby and doesn't really care what anyone else thinks. Her facial expressions show that she doesn't look too happy, this could suggest that she isn't a very jolly person and possibly doesn't always get on with a lot of people. I would say she looks about 30s/40s in this picture. I think that she wouldn't have been brought up from a wealthy family and possibly doesn't have a well paid job, proberbly lower/working class.

2. Carla (Corination street) On the right.

This character seems quite smart from her clothes, she seems quite fashional and confident, she seems to loo after her appearance well with nice long dark hair and can slightly see some makeup so is girly (complete opposite to Janice).

In this picture she looks like she is questioning someone or standing up to them his backs up the idea of her being confident, it also may suggest that she is quite bossy and high up. I noticed that she is holding a pen in her hand, she could be working in an office, quite a bussiness woman/a Boss of what looks like a sewing factory behind her. This could suggest that she is well educated and brought up well. And I would also say that she is 30s/40s.

Progress Report

So far the production and planning process has been great. Surprisingly, it was easy planning as everyone contributed many ideas and within a short amount of time, we had our sequence all ready for filming. However we have encountered some problems, when filming the scene where all the characters were being introduced, we had them moved a little bit and this was main problem with our stop motion, fortunately we managed to overcome this and continued our filming. One other problem was the camera constantly shutting down, in order to overcome the problem we had to move it but every time we did it, we lost the focus of the picture. We also have not managed to put in the original background into the movie.
We had some technical difficulties like monochrome monitor constantly being moved, but we managed to overcome the problem and the filming went fine. After the half term, we will continue editing and hopefully put in the soundtrack that would round off the sequence, giving it a more polished feel. Our main priorities when we return from half term is to complete our editing, finish the sequence with the soundtrack and add the credits to the sequence.

Throughout the task I've contributed by creating the storyboard for the sequence,
along with thoughts on what the characters and background should look like.
I've helped out in class with the creation and filming.
I've also contributed on the idea waht the soundtrack should be like,
I've also tried to create the soundtrack on garageband.

Contributions to the production process.

I have contributed various options to the group before a final verdict on what we were going to make was made, I suggested that we make an opening where in which we ourselves acted, instead of making an istop motion movie, but other people decided on istop motion so I suggested we could do something festive such as a Christmas movie but a Halloween setting was decided, I have also contributed to the editing, soundtrack and credits.

My Contributions to the production process

  • I looked for ideas and inspiration for our opening sequence on the internet, looking through videos on youtube and looking at images for our background and the kind of characters we could base our on, these were then uploaded to the blog.

    • I created the credits for our childrens film and made suitable names for the characters that the audience could relate to and were easy to remember, I added Different colours to the characters that i thought the children would associate them with.

      • Me and emily worked together to do the stop motion, moving and take a picture each time. It took ages to do but we worked well together to get it done and achieved what we wanted.
